Koen Schiepers has been playing poker for around a year, after being introduced to the game by his football teammates. “Some guys taught me the game after training one day” and he has been playing ever since. The economics student plays both online and live poker, “but mostly online.” Koen prefers Texas Holdem and Omaha and likes to see the action in ring games. Winning a $5000 PokerNews Cup Australia Freeroll is “obviously” his biggest poker victory to date. Koen was “in heaven” after his win saying that “this was my first ‘wow’ poker moment.” After his win, Koen simply relaxed, “turned on some music and watched a movie.” When he’s not at the poker tables, Koen enjoys watching and playing football.
